Celebrating life’s small pleasures and petty victories and categorising its disappointments is this hour of fresh, irreverent stand-up comedy on the Five Pound Fringe. Radio 4 comic playwright Andrew Doyle’s cerebral bitchiness and ‘excellent one-liners’ (Times) have seen him support Scott Capurro at the Leicester Square Theatre. Whipsharp Ben Van der Velde is the mischievous compere of Really Lovely Comedy’s clubs where he ‘creates a buzz of excitement’ (Chortle.co.uk). Warning: show may not contain forward rolls.
